Microsoft has confirmed it is to release seven fixes for “critical vulnerabilities” across Windows, Office, Silverlight, Windows Server and Internet Explorer.

The most important of the critical patches is Bulletin 1 which affects Internet Explorer (versions 6-10) and Windows, according to Qualsys CTO Wolfgang Kandek in an interview with www.threatpost.com. He goes on to explain that two of the other critical bulletins being released should be implemented immediately.

The threats identified have the possibility of allowing remote control of Windows and Mac OS X with the holes appearing to be within multiple Microsoft Products.
